Foreign Language Teacher

Pawnee School district is seeking applicants for the following position:

  • Foreign Language Teacher

Salary and Benefits:
Minimum of $29,500 to $41,500 maximum with 15 years of experience transferring in with all credits. District Housing possibly available from $100 to $350 per month, full insurance for a single, $25,000 term life.

The successful applicant will possess the knowledge, abilities, skills and experience essential for educational leadership.


The following criteria have been identified to be of particular importance:

  1. Hold or be eligible for Colorado Teacher’s Certificate
  2. Commitment to systematic communications and excellent human relations skills that demonstrate the ability to listen and relate
  3. Proactive and open communication with students, community, and employees
  4. Seasoned leadership skills that provide a vision, encourage participation, and set a tone of positive growth, and accomplishment

Pawnee School District Re-12 is located in northeastern Colorado in the town of Grover, which has a population of 152. The school district covers 635 square miles and has four bus routes to distribute students to and from school. The district is located in Weld County and is a farming, ranching and dairy community. Grover is noted for the Earl Anderson Memorial Rodeo on Father’s Day weekend and has hosted the rodeo since 1923. Located on the historical scenic byway to the Pawnee Buttes, Grover boasts a historical museum and senior citizens center. Grover is fifty-five miles from Greeley, sixty-five from Fort Collins, sixty-five from Sterling, fifty-five from Fort Morgan and fifty from Cheyenne, Wyoming. The University of Northern Colorado is in Greeley, Colorado State University is in Fort Collins, Northeastern Junior College is in Sterling, Morgan County Community College is in Fort Morgan and Laramie County Community College is in Cheyenne.

District

Pawnee School District Re-12 prides itself in possessing an excellent academic curriculum which provides K-12 students a challenging course of study. The district is a school-wide Title One school that provides continued attention to meeting the needs of at-risk, academically gifted, vocationally directed. The district has worked very hard to increase it’s ranking on state exams. It improved from 99th to 66th in Reading, 81st to 49th in math, and 71st to 68th in writing out of 178 school districts in the state from 2004 to 2005. The elementary and middle schools are rated high achieving schools and the high school is rated average. The girls finished 2 nd in league volleyball and won the league in basketball. The boys finished 2nd in state Football in 2005, won the league in basketball but were eliminated at the regional tournament.
